SWORN TRANSLATION

If you need an official (certified or notarised) translation, please bring or send the document on which the translation is based to our office.

A sworn translation can also be ordered as a digital document for use in Estonia; please specify this when placing your order.

As a general rule, a public document issued in a foreign country must be certified by an apostille (information on the website of the Chamber of Notaries) or legalised (e.g. in Canada) (more details on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs). Public documents issued in Estonia are apostilled by notaries, information on the website of the Chamber of Notaries.

Legalising and apostilling documents that are to be used or that have been issued in a country with which Estonia has concluded a legal assistance treaty, e.g., Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, or Poland, is optional.

We also follow the quality standard of the Estonian Association of Translation Agencies for sworn translations, which means editing and proofreading the translation to ensure its quality further.
